Replace your-wallet-address with your real kaspa: address. The text after the dot (.rig1) is your worker name — pick anything. The password is ignored, so any value works.
On your ASIC
Open the miner's web dashboard, go to Settings → Pools, and enter the values above as Pool 1 (URL, worker, password). Save — the rig reconnects to katpool automatically.
Match your rig size — vardiff fine-tunes from there.
| Port | Best for | Start diff | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1111 | Small — KS0 family | 256 | |
| 2222 | Entry — KS1 / KS2 / KA BOX | 1,024 | |
| 3333★ | Recommended — KS3-class | 4,096 | |
| 4444 | Large — KS5-class | 8,192 | |
| 5555 | Very large — KS7 | 16,384 | |
| 6666 | Farm / multi-rig | 32,768 | |
| 7777 | Farm / multi-rig | 65,536 | |
| 8888 | Entry (alternate) | 2,048 |
The number is a starting difficulty — variable difficulty then converges you to a steady share rate. Picking one too high for a small rig is the usual cause of constant rejects, so when unsure, use 3333. Not sure which fits your miner? See the guide below.
Every Kaspa miner runs kHeavyHash. Find your model, start on its port, and vardiff handles the rest.
Hashrates are manufacturer specs (±10%). Don't see your exact model? Pick the closest size — the starting difficulty only needs to be in the right ballpark, and variable difficulty converges from there. Ports 6666 and 7777 seed even higher for large multi-rig connections.
Use the nearest host, or the global name to let anycast pick for you.
Transparent, miner-first economics.
